An order can be
1) Real Order
2) Statistical order
A Real Order can be settled to other cost objects like cost
centre, production order, sales order.
Whereas the Statiscal order cannot be further settled, it
is only for information purpose. eg: Profit centre
accounting.
(A cost object means a cost or a revenue collector wherein
all the costs or revenues are collected for a particular
cost object)

Settlement in the sense the cost of object(Expenses) is
divided into sender and receiver how much percentage u
allocate it ; in otherwords u can divide the expenses into
as per amount or as per percentage vise..

Real order because in statistical order there is no actual
cost. It is for information purpose only. Settlement is
sending cost from one cost object (CC,WBS,G/L,I/O)to
another. it is similar to what we learned a
term 'apportionment'
