how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / pravin sathalpara

it is depend upon the load beacause trasformer equistion
is
kva=VICOS
SO,OUR VOLTAGE AND CURRENT(LOAD) IS DECIDE FIRST

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / bhagaban barik

KW=KVA*P.f
i.e- KVA=KW/p.f

It also depends on Utilisation factor & maintenance factor

we have to consider 30% margin for future expansion

Is This Answer Correct ? 0 Yes 0 No

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / papuraj

Its purely depends upon your maximum demand nothing else.For an example if you have the connected load is 700kva and maximum demand is only 350kva, hence we could select 500kva transformer to be with 20% future additional load.

Is This Answer Correct ? 0 Yes 0 No

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / rajani

SIZE OF TRANSFORMER DEPENDS THE FOLLOWING

CONNECTED LOAD EX:2500KVA
MAXIMUM DEMAND EX:1500KVA
STARTING LOAD EX: 500KVA
LOAD FACTOR EX:0.9
FUTURE LOADS EX: 20% EXTRA TO MAXIMUMDEMAND

SO TRANSFORMER SIZE IS (1500+500+20%(1500))*0.9=2070KVA
SO 2200KVA TRANSFORMER IS ADEQUATE FOR MAX DEMAND OF
1500KVA LOAD.

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / abhishek ranjan

transmer size can be calculated according to load.
its also depend on the material used.
if we use HRS in the place of CRGOS then its size will increse

Is This Answer Correct ? 12 Yes 20 No

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / mitul

Transformer size ,we can consider what is the maximum load and for future expansion 25% shall be considered

WE HAVE A OLD TRANSFORMER WITHOUT TARGET
HOW WE CAN DECIDE THE POWER OF TRANSFORMER

Is This Answer Correct ? 4 Yes 13 No

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / u.chandarasekar

It is Very Very Simple take one Measurment Tape

Is This Answer Correct ? 1 Yes 10 No

how we can calculate the transformer size...

Answer / rajesh

Transformer size is decided based on the following factor.
--> Load details
--> Load factor
--> coincidence factor
--> BKW value
--> Other than this it required power factor of the loads.

By using the following formulas we can calculate the
kva rating.
cosф * KW = KVAr

(KVA)2 =( KW)2 +( KVAr)2

Is This Answer Correct ? 8 Yes 24 No
