ELCB stands for Earth Leakage circuit Breaker and RCCB as
Residual Current Circuit Breaker.
ELCB sense the earth Leakage fault in any circuit and trip
the circuit. ELCB is the same as an RCCB also sometimes
referred to as an RCD - Residual Current Device.

Elcb and rccb work for same cause.. that is earth leakage they both gets trip..
But rccb have more function i.e. it get also get trip with overload..
RCcb also trip with unbalance load..
Elcb : EARTH LEAKAGE CIRCUIT BREAKER
RCCB: RESIDUAL CURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKER
I think this is enough to understand about both..

elcb is emergency light circuit breaker it is using from
lighting circuit only.Any bady shot this breaker is trip
RCCB is nothing but MCCB it is a moulded case circuit
breaker. Its used for breading capacity generaly for shot

How to increase the specific gravity of DG batteries?
How to synchoronize the generator (with gcb,GT) to grid????? ????? from Grid iam getting power (rated 400kv/20kv) through GT and its goes to UAT.,,ST.,, now my generator(rated 20kv ) ready.,, now iam closing my GCB.,, in GT iam suddenly giving 20kv on that Gt.,, what will happend
( Re: WHAT SHOULD BE THE RATING OF MCCB FOR 415V,3Ph,50KVAR CAPACITOR BANK Answer # 1 The capacitor current would be kvar x 1000 / (415 x sqrt3). This would be 70a approx. The MCCB selected should have *atleast 1.4 times this current i.e. 1.4 x 70= 98. So you should choose at least 100 A mccb.) regarding to this answer,i would like to know why the current have to times 1.4 to get the right amphere for the mccb.hows the formula to get the 1.4??tq
