A consultant as such has no role in Production system for
period end / year end activities.

If any of the period end activities are identified not fit
for end user to perform, a key user needs to be idenfied
and can be trained by the Consultant to Perform the same.

there is no relative for a consultant in month end close
activity. as per myself, each item of enduser and relative
role activist is involved in production activity. If any
thing that needs to be modified / alter / creative new
accounts, a consultant can do his role and assign to the
concern enduser.

And month end closing activity can be done by users are:
1)post recurring entries
2)post tax payable
3)brs reports
