A business area is an organizational unit within accounting
that represents a separate area of operations or
responsibilities in a business organization.
You can set up several business areas to which the system
can assign the postings made in all company codes defined
in this client

Note: Business Area is now a outdated concept, Instead of
Business Area we use Profit Centers.

A Reason out of many reasons of not using Business area is
that the reports framed with the use of Business area do
not get updated automatically...

We define the business area in sap for only internal
purpose, it is not require for externals reports, if
company needs the financial or other reports of all or one
business area then we have to define business area and
assign it to consolitated business area.

Business Area is useful for internal purpose only like our
branches.So with the help of business we can find out the
balances or trasaction is done by perticular area.

business areas are nothing but subsrdary or branches or sub-
division of the company code,the company,company code is an
high level hirarchy of the business area which comes in
this manner

In housing banking we created ranking order for automatic paymet. If vendor wants different ranking order, then whats the procedure. For example we have assigned ranking order for icici bank, citi bank, sbi, in the mentioned order but now a vendor wants sbi, icici in the ranking order, so do we need to change in again and again as per requirement or any other easy technique is available...
