Some materials have been blocked for procurement and production. Even though deletion flag is set for a material/plant level, the order can be still entered ( with a warning message). Is there a way to block such transactions for a material flagged for deletion?

Yes, it is possible to prevent the entry of orders for materials marked for deletion in SAP SD. This can be achieved by configuring appropriate settings in the Customizing for Sales and Distribution (OVXL). Set the 'Deletion Prevention' indicator in the 'Material Master Record' under the 'Material Data' tab. By doing so, the system will block the creation of sales orders for materials marked for deletion.
