HI..! hiraracy is equal to scope of analysis..! As per my knowledge. when ever u create a report in webi you can find a symbol on edit report. based on your table data hiraracy will flow using the scope of anaysis.

Scope of analysis will work based on the hierarchy which is set..Hierarchy will allow the developer to set the objects based on the requirements. eg :- Year -->Quatre --> Month-->Week -->Day. This is useful for the Drill down,drill up and Drill through analysis.
