I want to put it in simple word's. For example a customer
orders for an XYZ material ,u check for the stock and if
stock for that material is not availabe we forward this
requirement to the MM guys they again re-check anf if found
unavailabe they forward the same requirement to the PP guys
for production of this material.Forwarding this requirement
is know to be TOR.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

In Simple word If order is going to create for ABC material for x QTY, system will check automatically the order quantity is available in stock or not, if stock not available then
1. In MTS the customer needs wait till the material available in stock
2. In MTO the System will pass the required quantity order to Production Planning department, after that produced stock is uploaded in system & deliver the same stock qty to customer.
