Shelf life data maintained in plant data view 1 in material master
there are 2 fields
1 Total Shelf Life - Lets assume is 30 days.
Then GR data is production date and
GR+30 days is expiration date
Lets assume not maintained.
Date in GR is considered expiration date
2 Minimum remaining shelf life

Lets assume this vale is 15 and the material arrives with shelf life expiring in 10 days . Then system will not accept GR.

Using QM - Batch Management, we can assign validity period
to each batch of a product. Cannot understand what is meant
by a full cycle. The process would be PO-GR-GI (At gr,
batch number having specific characteristics such as
validity date is assigned)which gets tracked during each
movement of the product till is is exhausted. To make
things easier, we used the validity date in the name of the
batch itself so that they were easily identifiable in MMBE.
