how to calculate the multiplying factor for energy meter with CT ratio given..

Answer / alamgir

Formula: MF= CT Ratio * PT Ratio
Where- CT-Current transformer.
PT- Potential Transformer
Example : CT Ratio: 120/5 , PT Ratio: 11KV/110V
Ans. MF- CT* PT
=120/5*11000/110
= 24*100
= 2400
So M.F =2400

how to calculate the multiplying factor for energy meter with CT ratio given..

Answer / raj bhoyar

M.F. = (CTRatio Of CT./CT Ratio of meter)*(PT ratio of PT / PT ratio of Meter)
if values feed otherwise null values will be treated as 1 not zero.

how to calculate the multiplying factor for energy meter with CT ratio given..

Answer / prabakaran

Energy meter M.F = CT ratio*PT ratio
Example:
CT ration = 120/5,PT ratio = 11KV/110
M.F = CT ratio*PT ratio
= 120/5,*11000/110
= 2400

how to calculate the multiplying factor for energy meter with CT ratio given..

Answer / manish borle

M.F.Of any energy meter is
M.F.=C.T. Ratio * p.T. Ratio * scale factor of the meter
Eg for ctr = 50/5 , ptr = 11000/110 , sf = 1/100
M.F. = 10
