SU24 is an optional feature that enables the security
administrator to better define default values for the role
maintenance tool.

I agree with both the answers mentioned above.
The general purpose of SU24 is to maintain the
authorization checks. This table tell the SAP
which auth objects that it should check when a
particular user executes a transaction. We can tune
this table for better performance. There are 4(i think)
different types of check status are there. For more details
about this auth check you can study the documentation.
