how does circuit breaker works..

a ckt breaker consists of two parts- a fixed part and a moving part. under normal operating conditions these two parts remain in contact. when fault occurs the trip coils of the ckt breaker gets energised and the moving part are pulled apart by some mechanism thereby opening the circuit.
