calculation of cement bags in 1:2:4 concrete mix ..

Answer / shinu

For 1 m3 of concrete (1:2:4)
Required volume of concrete=1.00
Add 35% extra for additional voids in concrete ie 1.35
Therefore Total qty=1.35Cum
Total Mix=1+2+4=7

Therefore Quantity of cement =1.35/7= 0.193Cum
Qty of Cement in Kgs = (0.193*1440)=277.92 Kgs
In Bags, 277.92kg/50kg=5.56 bags
otherwise
1cum Cement=1440Kgs ie 28.8 bags
In Bags 28.8*.193=5.56

calculation of cement bags in 1:2:4 concrete mix ..

Answer / james

For 1 m3 of concrete (1:2:4)
for Required volume of concrete 1.00
Add extra for additional voids in concrete (50%)
0.50
Total qty= 1.50 Cum
Mix total (1+2+4) 7

Therefore Quantity of cement = (1.50/7) 0.2143 Cum
Qty of Cement in bags = ( 0.2143*1440)=308.57kg
Therefore; Bag of Cement=50kg
Qty of Cement in Mix Ratio 1;2;4 = 308.57/50kg = 6.17 Bags
say(6 bag)
Qty of sand in bags = (2/7)*1.5 = 0.43 Cum
Qty of Aggregate = (4/7)*1.5 = 0.86 Cum

Answer / babu. s , project engineer , h

RCC 1:2:4 , 1 cum of cement is 1440 kgs,
= {1440/2}x0.45
= 720 x 0.45
= 324 kgs per cum of cement
= [ie] 6.48 bags.

calculation of cement bags in 1:2:4 concrete mix ..

Answer / kapil

1+2+4=7 total of 1:2:4 , then dry volume of concrete is 1.52
so 1 cubic meter is 1*1.52=1.52
then 1.52*1/7=0.217 cu meter cement
30 bag in 1 cu meter cement
than 30*0.217=6.51 bags ,
than sand is 2*1.52/7 = 0.434 cu meter
than metal is 4*1.52/7 = 0.868 cu meter

Answer / m. jahir hussain. b.e

They are mostly Tow types of Aggregate used in concrete:

The Constant value of: 20mm = 1.57(it have no unit) please
40mm = 1.52 refer Indian Standard Code

1:2:4 concrete mix: 20mm
1.57/7(1+2+4)= 0.2243

o.2243 x 1 (cement)
0.2243 x 2 (Fine Aggregate)
0.2243 x 4 (Coarse Aggregate)

This ratio concrete mix Cement is
0.2243 x 1440(This is unit wt of cement
of 1 M3)
Ans = 322.992 kg cement or (6.46 bags)

calculation of cement bags in 1:2:4 concrete mix ..

Answer / munkeshwar kumar gupta

For 1 m3 of concrete (1:2:4)
Required volume of concrete = 1 m3
Estimated volume of dry material = 1 x 1.5 = 1.5 m3
Mix totals = 1+2+4 = 7 (1:2:4 cement:sand:gravel)
Ingredient Volumes: 1.5 x 1/7 = 0.2143 m3 cement
Bags of cement: 0.2143 m3 cement / 30 bag per m3(50 Kg bag)
= 6.429 bags of cement=7 bags of cement
