what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / prakash

see whenever if u work in 24v if u r taken any safety
precautions.but if you work in 230v,440v if u definetly
take the precautions like gloves.for an example i am saying
this.according to voltage only the current can flow thrugh
a human body.for example if the voltage level is low our
body will acts like insulator it wont allow to flow a
current.if it is high means body will acts like a
conductor.for example i can use the BDV test of the trafo
oil,on that what we are checking gradually increasing the
voltage level after reaching the paticular level conduction
happens.same principle is the shock.so,i can definetly say
shock depends on voltage.the sevearity of shock is depends
on flow of current.

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / jagadeeshraja.m

Our human body have some resistance(R), when we touch the
voltage source(V). Our body is short circuit with on phase
and neutral. According to ohms law (V=IR or I=V/R), Voltage
is maximum and Resistance is ZERO so current flow will be
INFINITY. It refer as shock.

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / vijayakrishna

when we touch the voltage sourceor any electrical device
then short circuit is formed then current flows in our body
this is called as shock.
shock depends on voltage.
for example : supply shock
ac 220v low
ac 440 high
compare with ac single ph supply dc supply shock is high
because ac 1_ph supply is sinusoidel and dc supply is
stright line.

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / jesudoss

its simple..normally our body have some resistance value .it
is depends upon the wet and dry conditions.dry time normally
our body got 2000 ohm to 4000ohm resistance value.but wet
condition our body resistanse going to low around 500ohm to
1000ohm. so this time u touch the electrical source the
current flow throw easily via ur tissus ..this current can
affect ur muscles, internal injuries ,and deep burn.

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / rajesh yadav

shock is the combine effect of voltage i.e. potential and resistance, current is the consequence, and the intensity of that depends on potential as well as body resistance condition,so we can say it like V-R-I triangle just like fire triangle. and outcome is shock

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / engineering.force

shock always depends on the voltage. never on the current.
for e.g. i have worked on machines where 4.5 kA of current
is passed through copper rings, but nothing much happens
when i touch them, the simple reason is that voltage is arnd
2-3 Volts. hence shock is always caused by voltage and never
by current.

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / sreeknp

2 and 3 are wrong answers because ,a low voltage cant push
high current through our body since it has very high resistance

comment on 3 ans.... if voltage is very low it cant push
considerable current through our body so the first ans
posted by me is correct if any other comment pls comment

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / sreeknp

depends on the current flowing through our body this is
correct answer

what u meant by shock ? whether it depends on voltage or current..

Answer / prakash

according to potential difference(voltage)only current will
flow through the body.if the voltage level is low the flow
of current will be high.at the time we cant feel any shock.
