we have two type of silt test 1 is by volume and 2 is by
weight,
by volume in 10 min it should be 20-40%, after 3 hour 7-8%.
by weight not more then 8%.

As per IS 383 the %age of silt in sand should be kept as low as possible,preferably less than 3%. Higher %age of silt in sand can reduce the compressive strength of concrete.
