is simple yaar ..
we are not changing electrical energy into mechanical energy.
so there is no need of any rotational part.

Transformer is a static device which transfers voltage from
one circuit to another circuit without changing the
frequency(changes the voltage level).
Thier is no generation or Converation of Energy,So thier is
no need to cut the magnetic field as in case of Motor or
Generator to prdouce the Energy...

Transformer is a static device which transfers voltage from
one circuit to another circuit without changing the
frequency(changes the voltage level). The working principle
is dpends upon mutual induction which is created by the
alternating or rotating magnetic field. SO transformers are
not rotating type.

Answer / vishnudev janagaraj
transformer is not electromechanical machine. It works on
the principle of mutual induction.current flowing in the
primary coil produces magnetic field which inturn induces
emf in the secondary coil.Based on the number of turns we
can classify the transformer as step-up or step-down.This
is the reason why transformer is not rotating

If rotating, it would no longer be called a transforment.
It will be called an Induction Motor.

transformer convert electric in to magnetic and again that
energy convert in to electric energy thatswhy no need to
roatating .transformer convert energy in mutual induction
principle.

Transformer is not rotating in order to avoid the losses
due to rotating motion. Thus, increasing the efficiency of
transformer.
