Mr Ram
its depend on voltage & system is single or 3 phase
but i am giving example for 3 phase 415 V
P= 1.732xVxIxcosQ for 3 phase
so first we need change the KVA to KW
1kva = 1x.8(pf)
=.8kw or .8x1000 Watt
I am giving example .
considering,
V=415VOLTS
3-PHASE
P.F=08
P=1.732xVxIxCOSQ
I=.8x1000/1.732*415*08
I=1.39amps
ok

Answer / pari
In single phase circuit
1 KVA= 1000 VA
Amps= 1000/230=4.34
In three phase circuit
Amps=1000/(Root3*440)=1.31

Mr kavi,
You are not specified voltage.
I am giving example .
considering,
V=440VOLTS
3-PHASE
P.F=08
KVA=1.732xVxIxCOSQ
I=1000/1.732*440*08
I=1.64amps
ok

An engineer measures the direct current resistance of a transformer using ohm meter. When he/she takes out one of the leads of the meter, spark comes.. Why ?? This effect is known as...
Can somebody tell me the type and amp of transformer used to implement 600VA UPS? Thanks in advance.
How do I know if a transformer is saturated? I am doing the simulation of the saturation of a transformer, but what parameter tells me when a transformer is saturated? How do you calculate? is on the plate?, there is a rule that can help me? How could model? I understand the saturation occurs when the flow can no longer bind to the other winding, this is given to certain current, this current is the same that appears as the highest in the bale of features? Thank you for your help Eduardo Alvarez Guatemala

We are having a 2000KVA DG set. It trips with Over speed and Engne Hot when the mahine is stopped in full speed. How shall I analyse the block load and reverse power.Is the problem related to power factor. The machine which runs on this DG is having all Synchronous motors with incividual Drives.
Can anyone explain me about the capacitor calculation
