actually it depends upon no load losses of machine....if we are talking about ideal machine so there will be zero current because of zero losses...output=input-losses ...here output will be zero...hence whole power will consume to meet no load losses...since this is universal equation so apply with every machine

It primarily depends on the type of the motor (whether it is Ac (synchronous or induction)or DC motor) and then the rating of the motor.
