i am getting error that"there is no item category assigned
to account no(any account no)company while save the entries
in gernal ledger, i able to simulate the entries but not to
saved, i am using 6.0ecc version.

you activated document splitting for that u have to assign
the item category for that g/l other wise u can deactive in
docment splitting as per co code level

path FA(new)>general ledger accounting> business
transactions>document splinting>activate document
splinting>deactivate document splinting to ur company code
