what is difference between modbus & fieldbus

Modbus is a Modicon bus it doesnt require dedicated
interface card as it required for fieldbus(Profibus) Modbus
can communicate from serial printer port via RS-485 n RS-
232 while Fieldbus can communicate from RS-485 ONLY.
