1. Noise are lesser added in negative voltage supply rather than positive supply.
2. To activate NPN transistor Negative Supply is mandatory.

Vibration Sensor are NPN transistor so they can give negative voltage only so they are set -10 v only.its because transistor works linear in -2 to -18v so -2 to-10 8 volts same in -10 to -18 so it can measure both away and near distnce.

Hi all, I am Mohamed from Algeria, I'm a senior Technician qualified in instrumentation. I work in an international petroleum and gas company (SONATRACH: Separation of associated gas from crude oil.
