It is the value of voltage above which there is a sudden
increase of current,below this voltage the V/I
charachteristics is almost linear(ohmic charachteristics).
A mark increase in current is observed beyond this knee
voltage.

up of silicon or germanium. Its depens upon what type of
semiconductor material is used for silicon cuting voltage
