what is the difference between the diode and the rectifier..

Answer / amudhu2684

diode is a semiconductor device it can be used to rectify
the voltage. diode can be used as a rectifier
rectifier is a circuit used to convert AC to Dc voltage
for rectifing AC to DC diodes, scr, triac etc devices can be
used

what is the difference between the diode and the rectifier..

Answer / m.numan akram

dude....!

diod and rectifier is the same thing.....
there is no different between them....
diod is also the rectifier who is used for
rectification...and rectification is a proccess in which we
used rectifier to convert the AC voltages to DC voltages...
and we can say that it is used to purify the the AC cycle
or minimize the ripples...

what is the difference between the diode and the rectifier..

Answer / ghanshyam pandey

The term “diode” is customarily reserved for small signal
devices, I <= 1 A. The term rectifier is used for power
devices, I > 1 A.

what is the difference between the diode and the rectifier..

Answer / avinash kumar

A diode is a device which allows the current to flow in one direction only, it is a thermionic tube have two electrodes acts as a rectifier (conversion of ac to dc), these days semiconductor diode is most common type having a p-n junction
while
A rectifier is a device which is used to convert the ac voltages to dc voltages, actually it rectify the sinusoidal voltages to unidirectional voltages and it allow the currents to flow in both the directions.

what is the difference between the diode and the rectifier..

Answer / arun talaiva

If A.C is applied to anode of a diode then current will
flow for each positive half cycle through the terminal and
no current will flow for negative half cycles,A.C is
converted into a unidirectional current Hence,It will be
rectified
