The term “diode” is customarily reserved for small signal
devices, I ≤ 1 A. The term rectifier is used for power
devices, I > 1 A.

diode is used as a rectifier but it does not convert AC TO
DC Voltage
diode conducts only one direction,but rectifier conducts in
both direction

IN Diode the AC And DC current can use as a input only the forward bias direction but in Rectifiers AC can only use as input.
In rectifier in the input Transformer is required but in diode
in the input transformer is not required.

diode is the two terminal semiconductor device. where the
combination of four diode in a circuit is called rectifier

if you want to rectify one phase then you can use diode as
it has one input one output.
But if you want to rectify three phase input you got to use
rectifier as it has 3 inputs 3 outputs.
as seen in rectification process they are the same.
