Answer / ranveer kumar
according to my idea active elements are those device or
element which is capable to amplify or modify, and itself
have ability to generate energy such devices are
ujt,transistors,fets
but passive have not ability to generate energy itself
these are inductors, resistors, and capacitors ;by using
these we can generate energy;
now we can say clearly active element have
amplification ,modification ,transversion property but
passive while consuminng property

Active elements: is that which does not depends upon any
sorce they themselves acts like sources nd also acts like
switch and amplifier for ex: diode, transistor,op-amp,e.c.t
passive elements: is that elements which depends upon
sources for ex: resistor, capacitor,inductor

Answer / bipin sharma regmi
those component which acts as energy storing element and
perform operation when connected with active component are
passive component example:-resistor , capacitor , inductor ,
some diode etc.
those component which gives energy and required biasing for
operation and are also used for rectifying, amplyfing the
signal are active component example:-transistor , tunnel
diode , thyristor etc

active components requires a separate source to perform
where passive components does not requires any separate source

ACTIVE COMPONENT:-
THE COMPONENTS WHICH DELIVER ENERGY AND STORE ENERGY AT
INFINITE TIME.
EX: DIODES, TRANSISTORS
PASSIVE COMPONENT:-
THE COMPONENTS WHICH ALWAYS DELIVERS ENERGY AT INFINITE TIME
INTERVAL.
EX: RESISTORS, CAPACITORS, INDUCTORS.
