Variables in SAP can be divided into three main categories: Local Variables, Working Storage Structures, and Table Variables.
1. Local Variables: These are defined within a subroutine or method and have local scope.
2. Working Storage Structures: They are used to store work data, which is accessed by multiple subroutines in the same program.
3. Table Variables: They are used to store tabular data for processing.
