Logical databases in SAP MaxDB are a collection of physical databases that are accessed and managed as a single unit. They provide a logical view of the data, hiding the underlying physical structure from the user. Logical databases allow for easier management, as changes to the physical structure do not affect the logical database view. Multiple physical databases can be combined into a single logical database, and each logical database can have its own security settings.
