How cavitation can be eliminated in a pump?
Answer / Dilip Kumar
Cavitation in a pump can be reduced or eliminated by: 1) Reducing the pump speed, 2) Increasing the suction pressure, 3) Ensuring adequate net positive suction head (NPSH), 4) Modifying impeller shape to reduce flow velocity at the suction side, and 5) Installing cavitation protection devices like baffles or diffusers.
