To skip a workflow step when the deadline is missed in SAP BW, you can follow these steps:
1. Create or open an existing workflow.
2. Select the specific step for which you want to handle deadline exceptions.
3. In the event handler, add a condition to check if the deadline has been missed (using the system variable 'TS_BEGINN_TIME').
4. If the deadline is missed, use the 'Skip' action to jump over the current step.
