Answer / aravinda
consider voltage and current as phasors, angle between voltage and current is positive then leading (in case of capacitive loads) viceversa for lagging (in case of inductive load)
prevent lagging by parallal connecting capacitor banks or over excited synchronous motor
no need to prevent leading pf,

leading means current leadig the voltage if we take a anti
clock wise direction,,lagging means current is behind the
voltage by some angle if we take a anticlockwise
direction,,generally for inductive loads leading is
seen,,and for capacitative loads lagging is seen

Can a transformer designed for a particular voltage and frequency rating be used for different set of mentioned ratings? Assume that the winding does not get burnt because of overheating at higher voltage. If yes, then under which constraint it is possible?
Does dry and oil transformers both require dedicated neutral, because in my project we are using 2500kv dry star delta transformer, where they say neutral not required and even it is not provided in our substation. can u let me know
