It is a flame control method. this is applicable only for
tangentially fired boilers so that the burner can be tilted
+30 and -30 degrees. This is used to maintain the temp of
steam in the tubes.
This is a mechanical arrangement in which all the 6burners
on the four corners are tilted simultaneously

Burner tilting mechanism is done in the boilers to rise or lower the flame to control the steam temperature. It also helps in uniform burning of the fuels.
