it says in neutral wire current flows under normal condition,
but when we put tester it wont glow, why?

Answer / mehabubwali pathan
as we know that a circuit gets complete through neutral i a
1ph conn there is always flow of current because of load
imbalance but the voltage which flows through neutral with
load on it is very less not sufficient enough to glow a
line tester.

i am not sure about the answer but current definatily flows in the neutral in 1 phase system. current is zero in 3 phase netral if and only if load is 100% balanced

Tester glows between phase & earth, when the circuit is completed through our body to earth. But since the neutral & earth are solidly earthed on Transformer secondary side so the neutral serves as earth, though the current in neutral is there because of imabalance in phaes.

in single phase circuit we can checked neutral current by
clamp meter and approxe same current passing through in both
neutral and phase wires.

If you refer to the STAR connection of transformer winding, Its neutral point is connected to ground, Hence neutral is always at ground potential ( provided solid neutral earthing). Hence tester will not glow as it is at ground potential. Now the matter is current is flowing through the neutral is because of unbalance or fault in the system which will go to ground.

Thank you Liaqat Ali Khan. but in many sites it has given under normal condition current flows in neutral.

In Neutral Wire Current doest not flow, Neutral Wire is
used to complete the Electrical Loop Only,In normal cases
current flows in the live wire upto the load and then
dissipate engergy in the load in different forms and if u
check the neutral wire with Clamp Meter (Ammeter) u will
see Zero Current. I hope my answer will satisfy u.
