How r the calculation of process line mpm.

How r the calculation of process line mpm...

Answer / Rajiv Bhatnagar

The Machines Per Minute (MPM) rate is used to calculate the productivity of a manufacturing operation. It can be calculated as follows:
1. Determine the cycle time for each machine in the production process.
2. Calculate the total cycle time for the entire process by summing up the individual cycle times.
3. Divide 60 (the number of minutes in an hour) by the total cycle time to find the MPM rate.nFor example, if a process has three machines with cycle times of 12 seconds, 8 seconds, and 15 seconds, respectively:nTotal cycle time = 12 + 8 + 15 = 35 secondsnMPM = 60 / 35 = 1.71 MPM (approximately)
