The Magnetizing Curve doesn't start at zero voltage due to hysteresis loss in the magnetic material. When a magnetic material is subjected to a changing magnetic field, it exhibits a lagging behavior that causes energy to be dissipated as heat. To avoid measuring this dissipated energy, the Magnetizing Curve is usually plotted starting from a non-zero voltage.
