shallow well water is obtained above the first impervious layer while the deep well water is gotten below the first impervious later.
shallow wells yield moderately hard water unlike deep wells.
shallow well gets grossly contaminated unlike deep wells
shallow well is about 2-3m into the aquifier

SHALLOW FOUNDATION IS NOTHING BUT THE DEPTH OF FOUNDATION IS LESS THAN / EQUAL TO TWICE THE WIDTH OF THE FOUNDATION......WHERE AS THE DEEP FOUNDATION IS THAT THE DEPTH OF THE FOUNDATION WHEN MORE THAN TWICE THE WIDTH OF THE FOUNDATION.....

if the width of foundation is equal to r less than depth then it is shallow foundation

if the depth of foundation is greatr than width then it is called deep foundation
