capacitor to regulate the ac voltage not increase voltage
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 3 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / avd
In power system it is practically not possible . But in
electrinics where voltage is less, it can be increased or
decreased by using voltage doubler or devider circuits
respectively.

Answer / deepankar
Yes...
~simply by using
motor-generator set.
~by converting it to dc
and then by using dc
link chopper and then
again converting it to
ac.

The main purpose of the transformer is to step up and step
down and it is less economical.
By using capacitor bank we can improve the power factor (not
to increase the voltage level)
other conversion device is more loss and less efficiency but
it is possible

As 'Deepankar' mentioned above, we can use an MG set to step u voltage
We can also step up using power amplifier circuits, But that involves high amount of power dissipation
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 1 Yes | 0 No |
No...its not possible for AC. But we can increase DC
voltage using capacitor bank as mentioned above.

Answer / chirag
yes its possible to increase voltage without transformer by
using capacitors bank .In this bank capacitors are connected
in series like CVT(capacitor voltage transformer).

Answer / aniket jadhav
yes....it's possible to increase the voltage by using the
resistance..b caz when current flow to this resistance ...he
will drop more current for us....that's it.....!
