potential difference?

Answer / kashish kalra
potential differnce is basically the the differnce between
the two points,
voltage drop is the amount of voltage spend to overcome
the impedance offered by any pasive components in an
electric circuit,
whereas emf is electromotive force ..which not actually a
force rather an amount of volatge which tends to flow a
certain amount of current in the circuit.

VOLTAGEDROP AND POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE ARE SAME
BOTH R ACTUALLY THE DIFFERENCE IN POTENTIAL AT TWO POINTS

EMF : VOltage acrooss the source teminal when load is not
connected (Unit:Volt)
Voltage Drop: Drop in voltage due to current & resistance
(or impedence)in the circuit is nothing but Viltage Drop
(unit:Volt)
P.D.: Diff.in the potential (or voltage)of the two terminals
in the circuit is nothing but P.D

potential difference is basically difference in charge b/w
two points.as a positive test charge is bring from infinity
to a given point.
while voltage drop is amont of current dissipated by an
impedance or resistace
and emf is voltage generated in case of magnetic field..
