can we use CBCT in neutral of solidly grounded transformer?
in place of three phases we can pass only one phase which
decreases the size of CBCT?
Answer / Ravi Ranjan Kumar
While it is possible to use Current Balancing Capacitor Banks (CBCT) for unbalanced load compensation, it is generally not recommended to connect them directly across the neutral of a solidly grounded transformer. Doing so could lead to increased voltage stresses on the capacitors and potential damage.nnIt's also important to note that using a single phase instead of three phases would significantly reduce the effectiveness of CBCT, as it is designed to balance unbalanced loads across all three phases.
