if i change range of flow transmitter in th field then does
it need to change range in dcs?

if range of transmitter changes in field you have to change
the span of the AI in dcs
other wise
transmitter shows correct reading in field side
but dcs get signal in form of 4-20 ma, then flow reading
shows in DCS is as per old DCS span.

we have to configure the range in dcs with the new values.
example:
old range:
o - 625 "wc means 4ma at 0, 20 ma at 625
new range:
0 - 2500 "wc means 4 ma at 0, 20 ma at 2500
