how to syncronize two dg sets
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / shri..
1) first start the both DG set.
2) Then check Phase sequence R,Y,B
3) check the LL voltage & LN voltage. (both DG voltage
should same)
4) Check The engine RPM (both engine RPM should same)
5) Check The Frequency (both DG Frequency should same)
6) Then close the both breaker.
7) then cross check the voltage,Frequency,RPM

Answer / santhosh
DG Sets with equal Voltage, Frequence and RPM should be
connected to a single bus with equal polarity and phase
sequence. Both the DG's should be protected with protecting
devices like breakers.
DG's should be operated in such a way that is starting only
one DG should get ON and as the load crosses 75% of the
capacity of DG then the second DG should get ON.
This will help in minimisng the consumption of fuel, Load
sharing and improves the performance of DG.

Answer / satender
you have first of all Start stop the DG's in manual mode ,
then check the voltage biasing and speed biasing by running
it on load ( single unit ) . Then check the phase sequence
of DG's and then give the synchroniizing command
