as the copper loss depends on current and core loss depend
on voltage so it is easily possible to find the efficiency
of the alternator. also at the time of manufactoring we dont
know the power factor of the load. so the alternators rating
is in VA.

as the load (i.e. resistive /inductive / capacitive )on the
alternator / transformer is not defind so that the
laternator / transformer rating in kva.

kw= sqrt3*v*i*cosQ

resistive p.f=0,
inductive p.f=lagging
apacitive p.f.=leading

what happens in the short circuited secondary transformer,if the resistance of the short circuit is increased gradually?
