Earthing is connecting non-current carrying parts of equipments to ground in order to avoid electric shocks. It may be also used for protection by measuring leakage current
While Neutral is connecting R ,Y ,B Phase to common point with ground it is called system earthing

Answer / sudhir
neutral
1)neutral works as return phath for completing the circuit
2)it protects the equipment by surge volage(by fault) not human
3)neutral wire may be earthed or not
earthing
1)it also uses as return phath for completing the circuit
2)it protects the equipment by surge volage(by lightning)
and it also protect human.
3)it should be earthed.
earhing can works as neutral but neutral can not works as
earthing

Neutral is a point where all the three phases are
connected.Earthing is used for the safety purposes.Neutral
point is necessary to eliminate the third harmonic current
in case of synchronous generators. If some equipment is
earthed it means even if some eletric stresses are
produced, the overvoltage is directly discharged to groun. At
neutral,IR+IY+IB=0.

EARTHING: for protection... works during fault
NEUTRAL: part of circuit until circuit is off
and,,, earth can b used as neutral (as in SWITCH WIRE EARTH
RETURN)
