Breakdown voltage of air is 3 MV/m & for oil is 10-15 MV/m

BDV of new oil should be more than 30 KV.Below 30 kv is not accepted

the b/d strength of ir is 30kv/cm. the b/d strength of t/f oil depends on the voltage level of the t/r. for a 33/11 t/f the b/d should be above 55kv

We are installing a 1.6 MVA transformer at our crusher plant and the feeder of HPSEBL is 2 km away at substaion . and a VCB is installed in the substaion which is 2 km away from transformer so we need another VCB near the transformer.
