motor if the field is present.

on triping the turbine the generator keep runing due to
inertia and have some residual current flowing in it. then
according to law of electomagneti induction that is when a
current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field a
force is force is produced dou to which the conductor start
rotating

no ,if turbine trips it is right that bcoz of inertia ,the
generator rotates but it stops after a few minutes and the
generator cum motor gets stationary.but these days we have
the POWER TRAINS in which whenever we have excess of
gases,we can run turbine and then the generator for
electricity purposes......such trains can easily be seen
in POWER STATIONS.
