dg rating is in kva b'cuz the current from a generator has 2 components resistive and reactive. we utilize resistive power but reactive power also flows so to decide the size of conductor both needs to be considered and kva being the resultant of both we give kva rating.

manufacture don't know what is the power factor of load so i
