GENERALLY ALL POWER TRANSFORMERS RATED IN MVA(MEGA VOLT
AMPER) WITH TWO RATING LIKE(100/133.MVA)FIRST RATING STANDS
FOR NATURAL COOLING &SECOND RATING STANDS FOR FORCED
COOLING.

well a transformer is a power
transfer device so only one
mva rating is possible but two
voltage rating are there
i.e.primary and
secordary.230/115kv is a step
up transformer.but i have
never found such a rating but
step up is done normally at
generation stage(from 33kv).

how to find insulation resistance of a motor(415v) by theoretical formula??
Either It Possible a dc Motor to Run On Ac Drive [ Ex : ACS 800 , Yaskawa F7 ] If it is Possible How Pls Inform Me dinesh_elect_eng@yahoo.com
what is mean by marshalling box in transformer?
what is the suitable voltage of transmission line to transmit 10000w power through 250 km. (a)11kv (b)33kv (c)66kv (d)132kv ]and please tell me whats the logic behind it
i completed my DEEE. and i want to electrical c license. how to get it..?
Different STANDARDS (BS, IS, IEC etc) gives different informations on CT specification. How they correspons w r t each other (i.e I mean to say BS provides "knee point voltage" but IS does not, then how can i select CT)
why inverter rating is in KVA
We use MCCB not MCB for motor starters because MCCBs has capablity to drawout the motor starting current which is 5-6 times the full load current of motor for 1sec. Then why we use SDF in starter panel means MCC panels. Pls reply if any one knows this answer.
how to calculate insulation level of transformer?
Electricty is generated at around 16kV, then step up to 220kV for transmission then steped down to power transformers then DTs and then through the LT n/w it reaches the consumer end. At the consumer end 230V supply is required. So, why is electricity not generated directly at 230V and transmitted?
what is the disadvantage of leading power factor...why can't we use it (pf=0) for a long period of time?
