Ferranti Effect says that voltage at the receiving end is
higher than that at the sending end. How is it possible?

During light load condition at receiving end there is a
shunt cpacitor creat due to this receiving end voltage
increase to sending end voltage.

due to the capacitive effect it happens the two conductor act as two electrodes and air act as insulating medium and form capacitor this will give leading effect and making this problem

the series capacitors are connected at the receiving side in parallel with the load.during light load conditions reactive power leads back the active power and also due to the effect of charging current the receiving end voltage is high than sending end voltage so is called ferranti effect

whether inrush current for lamps or capcitors should be considered cable sizing to feed that load.
Initially motor starts with star connection ,after few timing changes to delta connection, why the motor should run continously in star connection,it gives high torque & low current?
