Answer / atul tiwari
no, petrol and diesel engine cannot work together. This is
because both are designed for different compression ratios. So
one can't work together with other.
Design of engine is kept in mind as for different compression
ratios both willl have different pressures inside

NO. BECAUSE PETROL NEED SPARK PLUG AND LOW PDRESSURE EVEN
DIESEL IS IGNITED WITHOUT SPARK PLUG ITS NEED ONLY HIGH
PRESSURE WITH MIX AIR

we cannot use petrol or diesel together as their is a
chance of detonation & knocking.......if diesel is used in
petrol engine then since it hv lower ignition temb it will
burn earlier and hence detonation takes place........nd in
case of petrol used in diesel engine it gets accumulated
due to high flash pt nd hence knocking takes place

NO. BECAUSE DIESEL ENGINES PARTS ARE DIFFERENT LIKE FUEL
INJECTION PUMP,INJECTOR(OR)NOZZILE AND ETC. BUT PETROL
ENGINES SPARS ARE CARBURATOR, SPARK PLUG AND ETC.WE ARE USE
PETROL NOT USD DIRECTLY, IT'S MIXURE OF AIR&PETROL.DIESEL
ITS USED DIRRECTLY. PETROL AND GAS ENGINES IS POSSIBLE TO
MAKING ENGINES.

I dont think we have such technology to use both the fuels
simultnsly in same cylinder..

first the diesel and petrol cant mixed with them.only able
to use diesel instead of petrol in petrol engine is
possible.then they having diffent density and specific
volumes.compression ratio also different.

we cannot use both petrol and diesel in same engine becoz
both have different comp ratios and also the self ignition
of both are different

yes.but it cannot use in ordinary diesel and petrol engines the engine which works both diesel and petrol is invented by an indian engineer further details dosent come yet

it may be possible if we design such type of engine which
gives both of facilities of spark & high pressure ignition
at the different condition . because the problem is diff.
comp. ratio of diesal & petrol if we gives firstly spark
then inject the high pressure diesal than both of the fuel
works together.
