What is application of isolation transformer & How it works...

Isolation Transformers are used to transform power from an
AC power source to an Equipment or device. Isolation of
power source and power device for safety.
Isolation transformers primary function is isolation of the
source and equipment rather than volatge conversion.

Isolation transformer is mainly used to isolate the source
and load networks and it is not built with the intention of
the voltage transformation. In addition, this also filters
out the DC harmonics.

If the capacitor bank is installed in switchyard say 132/22kv then on LT side say 22kv/0.433kv is it necessary to install capacitor bank for maintaining power factor. if pf is maintained on HT side then will that be maintained on LT side as well.if not then how&why??????/ please explain...........
