A three phase load, around 4 km away from the 11/0.433KV
distribution transformer (Neutral of Transformer is
solidily earthed) and consisting of mainly very costly and
sensitive electronic equipments is giving trouble due to
high voltage difference between neutral and body earth.
Whether this problem can addressed by connecting neutral at
the load point solidly to earth?

Check the load circuit properly.Check the transformer at
open and short circuits.Isolate the neutral earthing in the
substation transformer and check the voltage in all phases
to find out whether transformer is the problem or your load.
After considering all above checks you may do the earthing
of neutral point in your load.

It is an absurdity to try to provide 433 volt electrical
service to a load that is 4 KM away. You need to install 11
kv line to the load and then install the transformer. You
won't have a problem. There is always a difference between
the earth and a neutral. If that is a problem, bond them
together. They should be anyway.

Explain REF protection and sbef protection in transformer?
we have taken HV test of 2.5 k and Megger test on 11 kv HT cable.here it shows no fault but when we are charging the same cable with 11 kv supply why the VCB 11 kv gets tripped can anybody define the possible cause of fault ?
SUPPOSE A CIRCUIT BREAKER HAS TRIPPED THE THE LINE WHEN A FAULT OCCUR ON IT.NOW WHEN THE FAULT HAS BEEN CLEARED, HOW THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WILL CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY NOT MANUALLY.
